FICO - Facility Improvement Corporation is Hiring a Project Manager Near Great Falls, MT

FICO is looking for an experienced Project Manager to plan and supervise a wide range of construction projects from start to finish. You will organize and oversee pre-project activities and design and installation procedures ensuring projects are completed in a timely and efficient manner.

An excellent Project Manager must be well-versed in all construction methodologies and procedures and able to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results. The ideal candidate will have an analytical mind and great organizational skills.

The goal will be to ensure all projects are delivered on time according to requirements and without exceeding budget.

Facility Improvement Corporation (FICO) was established in 1996 to provide building systems expertise to clients throughout the state of Montana. FICO is currently searching for an eager, confident, and self-motivated ready to hit the ground running team member here in Western Montana. Over the past few years, our company has grown, and we are seeking that team member ready to be ALL in!

FICO provides industry leading installation and service of building controls and security systems, along with repair, retrofit, and maintenance of HVAC and mechanical systems. We support clients with many types of facilities, including educational, multi-tenant buildings, government/courthouses, retail, health care, commercial, industrial, and even some high-end homes.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing and directing the project team by providing the communication, coordination and follow-up necessary to meet the project goals and objectives
  • Maintains ongoing training and mentoring of project team
  • Directly responsible to senior management
  • Provides ongoing project information and project reviews as required by management
  • Coordinates training and compliance measures to ensure project procedures are followed
  • Ensures scope of work, schedule, and budget are clearly defined and understood by senior management and all project participants, including client
  • Determines, controls, and maintains overall project and discipline schedules and budgets
  • Tracks schedule and budget progress with project milestones and takes all action necessary to keep project on track
  • Identifies, estimates, and secures necessary approvals for all changes in project scope, budget and/or schedule
  • Maintains ongoing communication with client, making adjustments as necessary to comply with client's needs within contractual obligations, or adjusting project deliverables to meet the client and FICO's needs
  • Collaborate with engineers, contractors, etc. to verify the specifications of the project
  • Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements
  • Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities if needed
  • Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations
  • Acquire equipment and material and monitor inventory to timely handle inadequacies
  • Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues

Requirements and skills

  • Proven experience as project manager in construction related industry
  • In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles
  • Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards
  • Good knowledge of MS Office
  • Ability to travel to customer and project sites throughout Western Montana
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong work ethic - Willing to do what it takes to get the job done
  • Ability to function as a team-builder/player
  • BS/BA in engineering or relevant field experience
  • Familiarity with Building Controls and/or HVAC/Mechanical systems helpful
  • PMP or equivalent certification will be an advantage
